Email/Message Editor

Sending custom emails or messages catered to your target audience is a great way to engage your subscribers. Using a powerful tool built with audience-centered, market-centered features will certainly fulfill these needs.

  • Campaign Refinery has a powerful email or message editor that lets you design your emails or messages and tracks your contact’s behavior.

📝For account-wide email layout defaults like email width, alignment, and other editor preferences like fonts, etc., go to Settings/Global Settings from the left-side menu panel.

Broadcast & Campaign Editors

For Broadcasts:

  • Go to Broadcasts on the left-side panel menu. Select the broadcast you would like to work on. This will automatically bring you to the Edit tab of the broadcast.

Edit the email sending details: Sending Domain, Unique Message Name, Message Subject, Customize Sender Details.

Choose whether to use the Message Body Editor or the Custom Message Editor (HTML).


For Campaigns:

Go to Campaigns>All My Campaigns>. Select the campaign that you will work on.

Click on the sequence where you have the email event. This is the same editor as when you are just building/creating your email in your campaign.

Click on the edit button across the email event on the right side.

Edit the email sending details: Sending Domain, Unique Email Name, Email Subject, Customize Sender Details, and Email Preview Text.

Determine whether you want to use the Email/Message Body Editor or Custom HTML Editor to write your email/message.


Message Body Editor (Broadcast) / Email Body Editor (Campaign)

The Email Body Editor (Campaigns) / Message Body Editor (Broadcast) lets you easily customize your email, like in most email platforms.

Text formatting options

  • Modify text appearance for emphasis using Bold, Italics, Underline, or Strike-through.

Choose from different fonts and text sizes:

Listing, indentation, and alignment: For improved readability, structure, and effectiveness


Quotes and Line Spacing: Help emphasize part of your message such as customer feedback or testimonials.

Colors

  • Change the text and background color from the color palette. You can also enter your specific HEX code to get the specific color.

Insert images

  • Effortlessly integrate images directly into your email to enhance visual appeal and effectiveness.

Insert links

  • Enables you to direct recipients to web pages, documents, or other online resources by simply adding a clickable link

Merge variables

  • Note that you can also use variables in the subject line by copying and pasting the full curly braces.
  • You can select the variables from the field-form drop-down list.
  • You can also create new fields.

Custom Message Editor (Broadcast) / Custom HTML Editor (Campaign)

  • Using the Custom Message Editor (Broadcast) or the Custom HTML Editor (Campaigns) allows you to create and manipulate email content using your HTML code. This gives you greater flexibility and control over the design and layout of your emails, allowing for intricate formatting, responsive design, and personalized elements.

Select the Custom Message Editor (Broadcast) or Custom HTML Editor (Campaigns). By default, the custom editor is "Inactive".

Click the circle next to "Inactive" to use the custom editor.

Copy the entire HTML code of your message.

Paste the HTML code into the HTML editor body.

  • Review and add/edit the HTML codes and ensure correct formatting and error-free coding.
  • Ensure variables in the subject line or email are correctly placed in the HTML code.
  • Customize the HTML code as needed.
  • Review the final message.
  • Click Save and continue with your workflow.

Email Footer

Click the dropdown arrow to add the email footer.

Save your work by clicking Save.

Send a Test Email to ensure your message/email appears and functions correctly before sending it to your recipients.

  • Type a recipient email address to send the test email.
